Help/FAQs

What is the difference between Public and Private accounts?
  • Public -
    • All follow requests are automatically accepted.
    • Anyone can search by your name in the “Surfer” field.
  • Private -
    • All follow requests must be accepted by the “Private” user.
    • Only followers can search by your name in the “Surfer” field.
    • If a non-follower searches other conditions (e.g. a beach on a particular date) which matches a private account's post, the post will still appear in the search feed.
    • As per the above point a "Private" account on SurfHub is not 100% private or confidential.

Is there a limit to how many videos or photos I can store on SurfHub?

  • No. You can upload as much surf content as you like and it is completely free.

What happens if I upload content which is not relevant to the site or is inappropriate?

  • Irrelevant content will be deleted and the user will be issued with a content warning. If this happens a 2nd time the user's account will be deleted and all the user's content will be lost.
  • Inappropriate content will be deleted and without warning the user's account will also be deleted. All the user's content will be lost. If deemed necessary all user information available to SurfHub will be passed on to the applicable authorities.

Does it cost anything to use SurfHub?

  • SurfHub is a free service.
